@satya5614 @TheMaran Less than it used to be. For a .com, ICANN's Registration Data Policy already hides your name, street address, phone and email from public lookups; only state or province and country stay visible. A privacy service swaps those too for its own details.

@XMasalaX .dev has one catch people miss: it's on the browser HSTS preload list, so it only loads over HTTPS. Fine on Vercel, Netlify or Cloudflare where certs are automatic, but a plain-HTTP setup won't work. And .ai is sold in 2-year minimums.

@nalinrajput23 For rankings it's a tie: Google treats all five as generic, .io and .ai included, so none gets a boost. What does differ: .app is HSTS-preloaded, so it only loads over HTTPS, and people still type and trust .com first.

@alexgroberman Worth adding the names, since that's what robots.txt matches on: OAI-SearchBot (ChatGPT search) vs GPTBot (training), Claude-SearchBot vs ClaudeBot, and PerplexityBot for Perplexity answers. Disallow only the training ones and you stay citable.
@pradslabs Nice pricing. Worth building in early: Gmail and Yahoo require bulk senders (5,000+ a day) to have SPF, DKIM and DMARC on the From domain plus one-click unsubscribe, so walking each customer through their DNS records saves a lot of support later.
