I worked tons of unpaid hours and also traveled constantly. My happy home life suffered for years. Understaffed = you loose.
Not working for a few months has taken its toll. I am splitting up with my wife today. So much for six years.... No income no wife.
It's down to the wire. I will likely be homeless after tonight. From great worker and leader to nothing so fast. Death by understaffing!
You can see I am not quite ok but close. Lot's of mistakes by always being in a hurry. Every second of everyday since I advanced in IT.
But they still need 4 or 5 more to do the job right. I knew how to fix our problems. They are in FIRE DRILL MODE. Every day.
I would try to talk to my employer. We were a small staff of two engineers. THey have more now. Of course they do.
Older workers are facing a huge stress level in almost every industry. If you care you lose. Why did I not say no?
I heard it everyday your going to have a heart attack! Nope I have had the pleasure of nervous breakdown instead. Understaffing kills.
