Ipswich Sea Cadets @TSOrwell195

Today TS Orwell will be thinking of those men and women and the families of all those impacted by the conflict. We will remember them ⚓️

Ipswich Sea Cadet Unit played a huge part for the people of Ipswich during this time by bringing the families of those affected together by holding weekly meetings with the Commanding Officer at the time, Geoff Prentice.

Today marks the 40th Anniversary of the Falklands War. Many servicemen and women made brave sacrifices defending the Falklands. Some of those servicemen and women were from Ipswich and also a part of TS Orwell.

We're seeking volunteers to help us at Ipswich Sea Cadets! Can spare some time to help with stand easy, maintenance, or admin? Can you assist in our classes on our parade nights? Could you help with external events and competitions by being a supporting adult or a minibus driver?

Thank you to the Royal Hospital School for having us today. We had a lovely time and was able to spread the word about TS Orwell. The visitors loved our games and were very competitive! It was also wonderful to see lots of familiar faces, old friends, Cadets, and parents ⚓️

Come and see us today at The Royal Hospital School in Holbrook for The Festival of the Sea. It's going to be a great day! 😁☀️⚓️
