me when LADS gets roasted the shit out of weekly by different fandoms for constantly making fuckass decisions and being tone-deaf

Imagine having a fan base who loves your game so much that they spend 4 solid months advocating for a cancelled character despite receiving absolutely no acknowledgement from you. Like.. half of the player base completely boycotts because of the decision, and despite receiving absolutely no acknowledgement they still want the game to thrive as intended so desperately that they somehow stay fully engaged and firm in their stance.. This isn't fun for us. This is stressful, but we all love this game, its world building, and it's characters. The longevity of our dedication alone shows the value and loyalty we hold as consumers. The revenue drop further seals it. We were never a temporary fan base. We are the heart of it, and they have to respond to us eventually or they WILL crash. Please don't give up. Lowkey gonna move on from LaDs as a whole atp because I genuinely cannot stand this game anymore. Advice to CN companies: don’t launch global games or try to expand to broader audiences if you’re going to cater to your domestic fanbase for every huge decision that impacts the experience and enjoyment of your entire paying customer base, just because a portion of it can’t respect your employees. We global players don’t have time to play along and give you grace for your geopolitical business warfare and strategies. We’re here for a good time because games are entertainment, not to become the laughing stock of the people you cater to for every childish whim. You’re the one who launched a global version. You’re the one who wants our money. You’re the one who wants the reputation and recognition that comes with business and IP expansion, not us. Valko is apparently too “Western” and “American,” but suddenly Blade Runner—a very American franchise—is something people are perfectly willing to larp (Absolutely no shade to the movie, as someone who’s watched it, it’s phenomenal) It seems like every Western concept, along with other non Chinese cultural and ethnic themes and designs within the game are acceptable for the Anti Valko CN players except for a Li that the developers may have created with the same game’s Western/Global audience in mind. Just a distasteful cowardly company with its terrible customers who happen to possess and blatantly disregard the very talented developers. #BringBackValko
