@mmmirele @wartwatch Dee, I’m really sorry. Truly. I thought this was just a dumb twitter debate. I’m not against you. I’m with you. I want to believe the healing stories, because I want to believe that Jesus can heal anyone of anything. Because I need to be healed by Him.
@mmmirele @wartwatch You’ve given plenty of evidence for false miracles and false teachers, both are warned against in scripture. Do you have any evidence of genuine healing miracles? Did any of them happen in rural places? Is Jesus alive? Does He still heal?
@Neils_Bohrdom @wartwatch Is confirmation the issue? By all means, seek the truth. However, the lack of confirmation should be paired with a lack of condemnation.
@Luke17_37 An absolutely sobering reminder that Jesus is not a character in the bible, but that that bible is part of the story of The Father’s faithfulness to redeem humanity through Jesus, and revive humanity by His Spirit.
@Luke17_37 Agreed. From the posted verse, it would appear that God’s love motivated the sending of Jesus. And though I know you, and your heart, I know far too many people who take glory from Jesus and give it to the bible.

Instead of letting christianity dictate what following Jesus should look like, We would do better to let following Jesus dictate what christianity should look like.
Don't measure how many people stay, measure how many people go and make disciples.
@ChasingjesusNet @quizzerstu You’re right. I guess I was trying to communicate that it’s a topic that requires sensitivity to rightly discuss. People are sensitive, especially when it comes to what they believe about eternity.
I recently heard that the fastest way to divide a church is to teach what Jesus teaches. Could it be that we are in danger of loving theology more than we love Jesus?
