I used to think that the Eucharist was weird, too I first learned about it when I was a student at a Southern Baptist seminary in my mid 20s (half my life ago) And I admit that, from a worldly perspective, it is quite a strange thing But I no longer desire a worldly perspective When I learned that the Catholic Church is the Church that Christ Himself founded and that all “denominations” are effectively watered-down à la carte Christianity and that the Catholics had been receiving the Eucharist for nearly 2,000 years (centuries longer than the Bible has been canonized), my mind become much more open about the truth of the Eucharist Then I began to read John 6 in the proper (Catholic) context. Eating Jesus’ flesh and drinking His blood sounded strange to Jesus’ disciples, too—so much so that most of them left Him. When they asked Him for clarity, He responded with “Does this trouble You?” not “I was only speaking symbolically” Then he asked Peter if he was leaving, too. Peter, o doubt bewildered, responded “To whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life” Peter stayed. The very first “Protestants” left Jesus meant exactly what He said in Scripture. It’s not my prerogative to interpret it “symbolically” when the Church has taught the real presence for 2,000 years I have experienced profound transformation in my life as a result of receiving the Eucharist regularly for almost 3 years. The sins that once had me hooked are gone by the wayside. The things I confess today are far different than the things I confessed 3 years ago If Jesus said it and the Church teaches it, the I believe it, and that’s good enough for me I don’t care how weird the world thinks it is
@RachelToRome I know, I have reported them, absolutely no need to show the video.

@Raegus2324 @CatholicSOTC It’s the remarriage without an annulment of the first marriage that’s the problem.

Keanu Reeves has a secret foundation that helps countless people. No one knows the name of this foundation or what it does, but people talk about how amazing it is that he helps people without needing praise. Which is true. It is pretty awesome. But, when you point out that Johnny Depp helps people under a pseudonym for the same reason, people say bullshit and demand proof. Double standard much?
Heard the ending is pretty good 😉 #WxmAFC
