My parents fought so hard to get me into mainstream school in the early 90s (it was initially presumed I wouldn't be able to read or write... funny how that turned out). How are we here 30 years later? Tempest is one of the biggest school photography firms! P.s. Your horror child

@Tayloredword My parents did the same fought to get me into mainstream, taking B&NES to court left with 4 GCSEs at normal level & 3 higher level in my optional subjects, My friend Charia explains youtube.com/watch?v=TiWy09…
@Tayloredword x.com/hirstphotos/st… My take on this as a disabled photographer. It's a collective failure.

@Tayloredword Oh that’s such a joyous pic! You all look like you’re having a ball!
@Tayloredword this photo would obviously be so much worse without you in it (like most things in life!) x
@Tayloredword Same, my parents took my school district to court in 1984-85 after they told them I belonged in the total communication program and insisted I go to the Minnesota State Academy for the Deaf. I finished mainstream high school in the top 10% and I have 2 degrees.
@Tayloredword Was appalled when I heard that story this morning and can imagine how hurt those with or close to someone with a disability would’ve felt by it. Sure the company is at fault but what made me most sad is that some parents must want this why otherwise offer?
@Tayloredword It is an absolute disgrace and shows Tempest Photography for who they are. How dare they post an apology and turn off their comments. What? Can't they cope with harsh words, outrage or reprimand? It is NOTHING compared to what they did to the child and their parents.
@Tayloredword Friend just told me they did this in 2022 to a year 1 pupil who wore very thick lens glasses. Told her take them off so you look pretty for mummy. Parent complained. They apologised and did exactly same to her in year 2. Imagine their morning planning meetings!!!
@Tayloredword My kids are neurodiverse. We fight so hard for them. My heart is broken for these families.
