I’ve been listening to Barbra Streisand singing “Don’t lie to me.” It is haunting and powerful.

The President, like a little boy in the schoolyard, likes to call people names: shifty Schiff, nervous Nancy, sleepy Joe. Think what could be done with his name: punk, junk, flunk, skunk, dump—the possibilities are endless. But only children do that. Adults don’t.

There have always been false prophets in our world. We have them today and many Evangelical Christians are following them. It is sad to see. God has made clear that “...all liars will be in the lake that burns with fire.” He would not have said it if He didn’t mean it.

It has been said that the language of love needs no words. But words are needed for the language of hate. Which language do our leaders in Washington D.C. tend to use the most? Which language am I speaking when I endorse and then repeat their words of hate?

If professing Evangelical Christians will turn away from their political Baal worship and return to following Jesus, 2 Chronicles 7: 14 might yet be fulfilled. But too many are refusing to do that.

So many Evangelical Christians seem to have gone over to political Baal worship. They have forgotten 1 Kings 18 “If the Lord be God, follow him.” Jesus said that we cannot serve two masters. Yet many Evangelicals are trying to do that.

We need to remember--and so does every elected politician--that Scripture is true: "You may be sure that your sin will find you out" (Numbers 32:23). And, "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows" (Galatians 6:7).

Only a grass roots uprising by the people will end our gun-murders. The Washington politicians, having been bought and paid for by the gun lobby, will do nothing. Being pro life isn't just about babies. Pro-life people want to stop the murdering.

There is a choice: Those who belong to the Trump party will vote for Donald Trump. Those who belong to the Republican Party will vote for Bill Weld.

"Go back where you came from," says Donald Trump. "Fix that place." Let's see, Melania was born in Slovenia. I guess she needs to go back there and fix it. Trump's family didn't fix Germany; they got out of there. "Go back," he says. Well, not his own family. They're special.

In 2016, Democrats lost the election to Donald Trump; the Republicans lost their party. Today will true Republicans do what their members in Congress have done and just roll over and play dead? Or will they rise up and take back their party?

It is 1776 all over again. There are the Tories who want to live under the reign of His Royal Highness King Donald and the Patriots who want to live in a democracy.

To the Christians who accepted the evil of Hitler, Dietrich Bonhoeffer said, “Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act. God will not hold us guiltless. “ The Nazis murdered him.

I can be so busy examining and exposing the sliver in the eye of the other person that I miss the log in my own eye. Maybe I declare loudly the other person's sin in order to deflect attention from my own. I can list your sins; I don't make a list of mine.

We read, "Ephraim is joined to his idols, leave him alone!" (Hosea 4:17). Is God now saying the same thing about professing Christians who have joined themselves to their political idols?

I've been told that if I don't join others in their political Baal worship I am neither a Christian nor an American. Jesus made clear that we cannot serve two masters. Yet I see fellow Christians attempting to do that very thing. God is not fooled.
