Had a superb time in the south of France today with Vin Ebike, doing a guided tour of vineyards on ebkes, tasting the grape varieties, learning how the industry works, finishing with a wine/cheese/tapanade tasting under a shady olive tree, C'est fantastique!

Front brake rebuild on Powerfly 5 #1 New caliper, disc and pads fitted, old hydraulic oil removed from system (had gone clear-should be red coloured) refilled with new oil and bled the system (bled the rear brake too while we had the bleeding kit out) now stops on a sixpence!
Brake repairs/service on Powerfly5 #1 new pads, hydraulics bled on rear, front brake stripped and inspected, needs new pads, caliper, disc and bleeding after it overheated, delaminated and melted the backing pad on a mile long 33% downhill track. Photo 4's what pad should be like
A freezing, wet, muddy, foggy 18 miles around the 'art barn' tour at Rosedale abbey, fortunately the last barn we visited has a free to use open fireplace, luckily we had anticipated this and loaded Oscar's Cube touring Ebike up with a picnic, logs and matches, so we lit a fire🔥

Took part in the charity MTB ride for Manorlands hospice yesterday on the 10 mile settle loop challenge, our best ever result coming in 2nd place. Happy with that.
Got our Cycle4Cynthia medals today for doing the equivalent of the route in our local area after the event was cancelled due to extreme weather, hopefully we will take part in next years event at Althorp house, Northamptonshire.
This weekends run out was a steady 25 miles in the Leeds/Liverpool canal was only 6 miles from the canal basin in Leeds, but we ran out of time, will get to Leeds next time, also thinking about cycling the whole Leeds/Liverpool canal over a couple of days.
Race day! We travelled down to Northampton last night and stayed overnight nearby ready for an early start..........just got this cancellation notice due to the severe weather conditions.......gutted! Back up the M1 then I guess after breakfast.
.....On holiday in Japan so naturally called in to @TrekStoreOsaka to have a look around the latest Trek models, We were astounded to see the bikes are half the cost they are in the UK... was very tempted to buy a new Powerfly.....don't fancy the long ride back to the UK though🤟
Had a great run out today, warm but not too hot, went up on the moors and followed the Yorkshire water culverts (hence the dead straight lines) then went down the gnarly Bodkin lane, over Penistone hill Haworth then stopped off for a late breakfast at the Millstack cafe oakworth.

Had a solo jaunt out on the bike this evening, had a mini sesh at Penistone hill quarry, did the disappearing drop- in and the bench of death, then continued onward only did 8.5 miles in total, was great to feel the stamina of the new battery in Powerfly #2 from Electric garage.
We've just entered the 25 mile event for @CynthiaSHospice in September, going to make a weekend away of it, down in Northamptonshire.
