1. Make sure all of your logins include 2FA. This means that, once your password is entered, you also get a message on your phone to accept the login. 2. You should not repeat passwords and they should be complicated. Ideas on how to do this are on my brief podcast. 3. Expect a release of your old passwords from old sites. If they are common across sites, change them immediately.
Effective Immediately, all organizations using PHP for their systems are advised to be prepared for an update addressing two critical vulnerabilities. PHP is widely used for web applications. These vulnerabilities often provide a direct path to the server's file system or database. If an immediate update is not feasible, it is recommend that organizations take the system offline until it can be fully mitigated. NSA will follow up shortly with more specific guidance.
@markgadala Web Developers take note. Two key tenants of IT: 1. Back up your backup 2. Update everything * *If you have a unique infrastructure you will want to test the updates and possibly use a sandbox, but ignore critical updates at your own peril.

@Denche2005 You need someone to jiggle the handle when the plunger gets stuck. Claude exists in a sea of ones and zeroes, whereas I am a human and contain actual critical thinking and emergency response protocols that only fail when my heart stops. Too rudimentary?

Macs are Cadillacs and Windows are Pintos. Macs are best for audio/video work, and now AI/SI. If you want windows, run it on a Mac and it will fly. My Macs last several years. I make more money fixing Windows than Macs. Yes there are more PCs than Macs. But even after factoring that in, they break more often.
Tangential thought: Back in the old days, pirated software could contain viruses or allow the hacker to access PII. What makes us think that suddenly stopped? If I recreated an app and embedded code with a EULA that you agree to without reading, my app could have root access. Antivirus apps will ignore it because you clicked yes on the EULA. Where am I wrong in this theory?
@PlotWeaver @MillaJovovich @christuckerreal Bruce Willis and Keanu Reaves are both excellent actors. Both tend to exude themselves within the role, as does Will Ferrell. This is a STARK contrast to Tucker and Ullman. This is 100% my opinion. I intend to watch it today with my son and will see if my recollection is flawed.
