The best that can be mentioned concerning that is the words of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): “The best of you is the one who is best to his wives, and I am the best of you to my wives.” Narrated by al-Tirmidhi (3895) & Ibn Majah (1977) Classed as saheeh.
The Prophet (s) enjoined good treatment of women in more than one hadeeth. Hence the husband has to fear Allah with regard to his wife. Honouring one's parents and upholding the ties of kinship do not conflict with treating one's wife kindly, honouring her and taking care of her.

Mothers can teach their children that chores aren't gendered and all but you know how children learn? By observing. They watch their parents. And if dad doesn't actively participate, they look foward to being a dad who doesn't participate too. Even if they did chores growing up.
