#yegcc What numbers do we have on pedestrian/vehicle collisions occuring on residential streets? How does that compare to pedestrian/vehicle accidents that have occured at unlit crosswalks in the city? Where do you think we should concentrate our efforts toward pedestrian safety?

@MarkConnollyCBC One of these days I hope to hear you ask our mayor a tough question. Something like "Wouldn't it be easier to keep taxes in check if you didn't have cost overruns like the library?"

#YEG If you think the city will run the new composting facility it wants better than the last one they let fall into disrepair raise your hands. No one. Really no one?

#YEG Who thinks the City of Edmonton is a poorly run organization raise your hands. Wow, that is a lot of hands.

#YEG Who is surprised that it took a Freedom of Information request to find out what is happening with the Valley LRT line raise your hands. What no one. Really on one?

#YEG Everybody who is surprised that the LRT is going to be (at least) six months late raise their hands. What no one. Really no one?

#Yegcc City in a panic because of $26 million budget shortfall. But $22.5 million cost overrun on library? No big deal. We are being governed by a bunch of civic maroons.

#Yeg On our faces yet again. $600+ million in consulting fees in the last five years. Who would think it would cost that much money to get advice on how to do things wrong. That one heck of a lot of tax money taken from you and me.

#Yegcc Not enough money for pot policing says the mayor. He gets furious when he encounters another government trying to live within its means. I guess he expected the GoA just to raise taxes like city does year after year. Boo Hoo.

#Yeg Ivesnon's five rules for how to get to the toughest budget in a decade. Step 5: Take more and more tax money year after year then react with shock, awe, concern, and bewilderment when you realize there is a bottomless pool of money to draw on and taxpayers are fed up.

#Yeg Ivesnon's five rules for how to get to the toughest budget in a decade. Step 4: Ignore things cities should actually do like fix sidewalks, ensure projects are finished on time, the LRT runs as promised and concentrate on bike lanes and failed branding exercises instead.

#Yeg Ivesnon's five rules for how to get to the toughest budget in a decade. Step 1: Hire employees at a rate that far exceeds population growth. Step 2: Realize you must give your bloated staff something to do to justify their pay. Step 3: Fund everyone's pet projects.

#Yeg on our faces. Garbage: more sorting, less service, same costs. That's the best we can do? Maybe we should look at other options. Here are some articles our municipal mavens should read scientificamerican.com/article/does-b… and energynews.us/2013/10/17/mid…

#Yeg Mayor Selfie says that trying to save hangar 11 would significantly change the development plans for Blatchford Field. OMG are there still plans for that? I thought we had given up since the development plans went from green to pale green to no green to be seen.

#Yeg Mayor Selfie: “Big cities cannot preserve all the movements at all the intersections and if you do, intersections perform worse. Sometimes removing one turning movement will actually make the whole intersection work better." Wanna bet on that?

#Yeg Mayor Selfie on removing left turning lane from 104 Ave. to 109 Street for LRT ." I will have questions about the traffic impact analysis and . . . alternate routes . . ." Council looks at things like this before a stupid decision is made? Really? Who'd a thunk it.

#Yeg on our faces with e-services boondoggle. Looked up mismanagment in the dicitionary "Mismanagement n. That which is practiced by the City of Edmonton."

#YEG On our faces. So who is surprised that a city that won't tell us what senior managers make, has no lobbyist registry and no limits on campaign donations won't tell us what is going on with the Valley LRT line? What no one? Really no one?
