Your timeframe changes how much you pay your broker. From my 9/21 EMA backtests (9.5 years, same costs on every test): - EUR/USD 15-min: costs ate ~11% of the risk on every trade - GBP/USD 1-hour: ~4% - GBP/USD 4-hour: ~2% Same commission. Same slippage. The difference is the stop size. Tighter stop → bigger position → more lots → more commission. On the 15-min chart, every trade started more than a tenth of a loss behind before price even moved.
