The makers and users of these insect traps should be prosecuted for ecocide. The wasps are gone. Now it's pollinating flies and hoverflies we're eliminating. Would it be wrong to start vandalising them?
@TetZoo the only time I've ever seen these used is in barns in summer for the flies. is it common in the UK to just leave them outside?
@TetZoo If the bugs didn't want to die maybe they should've avoided human areas and stayed in the wild.
@TetZoo Well, I use the red top ones to trap blowflies and prevent flystrike. The alternative is using highly toxic insecticides that can then end up in groundwater. Which is worse?

@TetZoo Could be there's a moral obligation to beginning vadalizing them.
@TetZoo I’ve never seen ones like this. That’s nasty… 🤢 Can’t stand how wasps etc are so demonized. And I won’t stop talking about it to others no matter how annoying I am.
@TetZoo @Unpop_Science Maybe instead of vandalizing them, tape a little educational notice on the trap. I wouldn't be against vandalizing them if you could figure a good way to do it they wouldn't notice right away.
