Roads across London to be made safer with 28km of new 20mph speed limits on TfL roads in Camden, Islington, Hackney, Haringey and Tower Hamlets from 31 March. 20mph speed limits are making London’s roads safer and have led to a 25% reduction in deaths and serious injuries within the central London Congestion Charging Zone. tfl.gov.uk/corporate/safe…
@TfL Are we using metric or imperial? Make you one up. Also helps if pedestrians use the already widened pavements and not the road, facing away from oncoming traffic. With a baby.
@TfL It's nothing to do with safety. It's just ideological car hatred.
@TfL Why are there still cars in london? you got a great transport network, buses, bikes, taxis. No more cars in Zone 1-2
@TfL The only thing about making it 20mph is, so I've been reliably informed, that by going at that speed it takes longer to get somewhere thus increased vehicle exhaust output. I really think that bringing back green cross code awareness would be more beneficial. #ULEZconmansadiqkhan
@TfL LTN's are absolutely frustrating when you need to cut through traffic, but 20mph your having a laugh 😆 whats next the expansion of the ULEZ or another expansion of the (C) Congestion Charge Zone.
@TfL They’ve made roads safer because they’re empty! 🙄
@TfL I must be stupid, but, can someone explain how travelling slower, therefore pumping out car fumes for a longer time makes the air quality better? 🤡🤡
