Thinking back to this Justin Williams quote from 2019 about winning and losing a playoff series: "At some point somebody’s going to give and say it’s too hard, and we’ve got to make sure it's not us.” For the Canes, that still applies.

If it wasn’t for that soft penalty on Orlov, this game would never have been tied. Course if we could have just scored one on the PP, game over. Something needs to be adjusted-no idea what though.

If the 2019 Canes beat Washington after going down 2-0 in a series, the 2024 Canes can for sure do it against the Rags.
Heartbreaking 4-3 loss to the Rangers in double OT. Special teams were the difference, a common theme for the Canes in recent playoffs. Canes were unable to stop lethal Rangers PP & could not convert on their PPs. Freddie Andersen was brilliant making numerous 10-bell saves.
Not ideal but not the end of the world Canes fans…Raleigh is gonna be rocking Thursday.

DOPS, on top of doing a poor job, is also purely reactionary so I wouldn't expect any disciplinary action on a missed hit, but this is the type of hit the NHL has to get rid of. 100% intending to hurt Necas
