It's so important to have a growth mindset. No matter the challenge or struggle, students should never feel that they can't do anything. They just need to try it in a different way, practice more, or take a break and try again. Every student is capable of being the best.

Most people I know want a leader who... 1. Listens to them. 2. Believes in them. 3. Supports and defends them. 4. Makes time for them. 5. Is honest with them.
Asking for feedback can be scary! One thing I do is give students sticky notes and have them answer any feedback questions or additional comments. I then encourage the whole class to come up and post them on the whiteboard. Students remain anonymous and I learn how I can improve.
