like if it was up to me I would probably define plurality like this with a perspective first definition because that's what we ALL have in common, followed by the caveat that we will all interpret these very personal experiences and what they mean differently

Sometimes having DID is okay-ish and not "too" much of a hassle. Then there's times where you are very much aware that you don't remember the last 30 minutes or what you were doing then and why the hell can't you find your plate, who put it in the fridge

I wish I could articulate how the otherkin and therian community both helped and hindered us with dissociation but I have NO CLUE where to begin? I'd have to ~remember~ things that idk if I'm ready to confront but overall it would be a positive little essay overall I think

Growing up, it's hard to develop a realistic, positive sense of who we are if our parents were inconsistent or absent-- physically or emotionally. Acknowledging this isn't about "blame." It's about figuring out what the hell happened to make us feel so...empty.

You're NOT how proud you did or didn't make your parents. But-- there might be a part of you trying to tell you you can't POSSIBLY have worth if your parents didn't see it or voice it. You might have to help that part of you grieve what they didn't give you.

Triggers aren't limited to straightforward sensory stuff-- sounds, smells, images. They can be more complex and subtle-- a look in someone's eyes, a tone in someone's voice, the "feel" of a day. Turns out, complex trauma results in complex triggers.

something that sucks a whole big bunch about this condition is yeah, negative emotional experiences don't "belong" to me, but the positive ones don't either. my happy memories don't feel like they're mine. my happiness doesn't feel like it's mine. i feel like a husk. #dissociatwt
