@GhostX54 @vpeiler @Bosslogic But if we are talking about just representation or women in the craft of acting? There are plenty. Not to say that the field couldn't do better but looking only at Star Wars when there are multiple women in leading roles celebrated for their craft seems counter-productive.

@GhostX54 @vpeiler @Bosslogic Perspective is everything. I will readily admit I do not have a daughter. I won't tell you how to parent your child, that's not my domain, but I am of the belief that you don't need to share a sex or race to find heroes or examples. Many of mine are women, including my mother.

@GhostX54 @vpeiler @Bosslogic Boyega's issue isn't anything to do with women? His issue was blatantly having a criminally misused character and getting racially censored by Disney in the Eastern market. Of the 3 women who had character names in the OG trilogy? Two were leaders of the Rebellion.

@GhostX54 @vpeiler @Bosslogic It IS a male-dominated fandom and yet prior to Kennedy many of these listed females existed and are celebrated. Kelly Tran's situation was unfortunate, agreed however both her and Ridley's characters and Ridley's performance were subpar. It had little to do with them being women

@GhostX54 @vpeiler @Bosslogic I think the bigger issue here is that you are broadly claiming that women have an issue in the universe without referring to anything specific while recognizing the multiple female characters that make up representations of women in power and leadership. Illumination is needed.

@vpeiler @GhostX54 @Bosslogic To add onto this; Sabine Wren - Literally supporting character/co-lead in Ahsoka Satine Kryze - Literal Queen of Mandalore Mara Jade - Luke's Assassin turned Wife and top tier Jedi/Bad Ass in Legends Jaina Solo - main hero against her brother in Legends, original/better Rey.

@flashst3p @inhuman @JakeSucky Boy do I have news for you~ Also just to join in on the conversation; The categories and games representing those categories are not great save for a couple. I'm with Inhuman on this one. It's gonna hurt the esports scene with some of these options.

@Somi_Nduna @tory_unger @pakhtoon_soul @historyinmemes She managed to find him after 54 years and that's only so far as what we know from this video. Most of what I've put forth isn't speculation it's historical fact based on what's presented. You have your stance and that's fine but it's wrong to assume he didn't look.

@Somi_Nduna @tory_unger @pakhtoon_soul @historyinmemes While it's unfortunate he moved on? This was during a time without cell phones, without social media, without easy ways to contact loved ones. While it's sad her husband moved on even though she did not? It's not fair to play the blame game either.

@Somi_Nduna @tory_unger @pakhtoon_soul @historyinmemes If the image of the house is also theirs then it got destroyed and, even then, she most likely had to be on the run from imperialists. It's likely during that period that they got separated and he didn't know if she was alive or dead and vice versa. [P2]

@BrettOdesa @margiesspiral @tessylem @historyinmemes Statues, like presidents, come and go as history persists. Regardless of the context of slavery it was bound to be removed/replaced anyway. Unlike the confederate statues, however, it will not be destroyed or melted down/repurposed.
