All @colbycosh wanted was a decent sandwich. Plenty of great bread options around in Canada, but the dairy cartel means cheese is wanting. So guess which one Canadian antitrust authorities chase after? We don't know how lucky we are in NZ.

Just been body frisked at Wellington Airport as I refused to go through the nudey scanner. Staff initially said I “have to” - that is not true. It’s a disgusting invasion of privacy that according to Harvard research is less likely to detect weapons than the old body wands. Yuck.

It is New Zealand. Also health and local government services. And it is looked up to as the model system by VAT reformers everywhere. The US is also not part of EU that constraints options here. ntanet.org/NTJ/66/2/ntj-v… (h/t @timrau for reminding me about this paper)
