Guess what: custodial Lightning wallet Strike doesn't work in Argentina anymore. Because it was always a bank LARPing as decentralized crypto. 🤦♂️ They lied to you that Lightning was going to fix everything, they lied to you that you were actually using Lightning so they could cover up awful user experiences. Ever wonder what else they're lying to you about? 😒
Remember, Mallers has repeatedly represented his wallet as the "open network" of Lightning: Represents Strike as "one of the best Bitcoin and Lightning wallets in the world" (when it's not a noncustodial wallet, it's a bank): The same thread says "Today, Strike marches forward on its mission to democratize financial freedom around the world", implying that banking users has anything to do with democratization or freedom.

Attacking some of the best builders in the space doesn't put a good mark on your name. I am always eager to meet marketers in this industry and unfortunately this is the way i had to encounter you. 🗑️ Sovereign money is HARD. Let's all pause and just understand that fact. It will be for a while. It doesn't detract the fact that people who want to learn, DO. And Strike isn't Bitcoin. It uses bitcoin rails and lightning network technology. If you are going to get bent out of shape because your government can regulate any business, you need to stop using regulated businesses and just learn and master open source yourself. I am done, this is a silly argument. Go be the change you want to see. Strike is crushing it building solutions for people. Follow @FinancialPhys and start overthrowing your local government today.
@TheDesertLynx Not a problem for decentralized cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin Cash. Strike is a centralized custodial wallet. Strike and btc maxis need to stop lying to people.
What are you talking about? It literally says in your screenshot "...you can still send both #Bitcoin and cash". Our product is working great in Argentina. A specific partner that offered a specific feature for us shut down. We will bring the feature back with a new partner soon. This has nothing to do with the Lightning Network, it has to do with a business partner shutting down. Also, Strike is not a "decentralized crypto" and we never claimed it was. It is a regulated business that provides financial services to customers. Strike is not #Bitcoin or Lightning. We build on top of #Bitcoin and Lightning.
@TheDesertLynx People to this day don't believe my cofounder and I implemented a prototype of the Lightning Network in 2017 and proved it simply does not work. Bitcoin was designed to scale on-chain. LN does not scale Bitcoin.
