Some of my distant relatives (Swattons), remembered at Lostwithiel, not too far away, but much more westerly than the family stomping grounds of Wiltshire county. Frank Swatton was a councillor and GWR Lengthman, his son Francis ('Jack') died in WWII.

I checked out Bluesky lately and honestly, glad it exists but there were so few posts when I did some searching for keywords on a topic.... that and it just feels like here basically, layout-wise. I'm on there now but not going to bring it up otherwise unless I use it more.

Excuse the quality but me and Dad have also taken to Brasso lately, here used for its intended purpose. I'm aware it's a bit controversial with collectors but I think it's worked a treat on this Hall plate.

This is my last auction win from a few months back. It's an original Breckon, who also lived down here in Cornwall. It's a nice contrast scenery wise with this other painting I ended up getting cheap a couple of years back by chance (by another artist).

Honestly, not to whinge but I'm baffled sometimes how much discourse there is in the Thomas community over the props, especially when they go for sale. I think some people aren't aware on the normal prices of tv and movie props. It's a tough pill to swallow with some exceptions.

Not going to disclose what I'm bidding on but yes I'm bidding in the Prop Store Thomas Auction. Ironically I'm actually still paying off overdraft on a painting I got at auction months back. But something like this is a rare or one-off opportunity.

I could not figure out how to do anything in Trainz personally, for real, so stuff like TSW or my fave, TPF2 are the most accessible to me for just putting a train on a track and getting it rolling. That and a lot of the detail in areas is another plus to the new TSW5 DLC.

I really don't think this is it if DTG thinks it might outdo trainz in terms of the Thomas fandom but I think it's nice to have an official Thomas DLC in a detailed, grounded railway game which I've already been buying for a few years now myself.

Some Thomas cab details, pity they aren't interactive, but the gauge dials do move. My pref. type of reverser (tried using the other time irl, not a big fan of big levers). Not sure what that little symbol with the wings is about?

I've gotta Flickr upload a lot of shots from this year as when I reset my PC I didn't want to risk it so had to lose my album from seeing Clun Castle early in the year. What's still on my phone atm is some vintage rallies and the visit to Launceston Railway.

Ok problem solved, I got my Discord back, impressively. I'm mostly embarassed I fell for a scam. Be wary if friends want you to test their 'new game' unless it's a legit site like a steam beta or something.

It's not been sent off yet so can't share a pic of it at home but following on from getting at ex-St Blazey mogul plate, I've gone a step up and won a Hall class plate at auction lately. Good thing overdrafts exist or I don't think this would happen.
