Trailing drawdown vs EOD drawdown is not the same number. Example: $50k account, $2,000 max loss. EOD drawdown: the floor only moves at the session close. You run up to $51,500 open, give most of it back, and close at $50,200. Tomorrow’s floor is $48,200. The $51,500 peak never counted. Intraday trailing: the floor follows your highest equity, including open profit. Hit $51,500 and the floor can already be $49,500 while you’re still in the trade. Give that open profit back and you can fail on a day that still closes green. Same dollar limit. Completely different room to let a winner breathe.
Passing a prop challenge isn’t about speed. It’s about consistency. Trade only your A+ setups. Keep position size the same every day. Stop when you hit your daily loss or profit goal. Small, repeatable wins beat one big home-run that blows the drawdown. #PropFirm #TradingDiscipline #ConsistencyRule
@jmbtrade Happy birthday mate. Three months full-time and still following the plan is the real flex. Keep stacking those days.
@SaviiFx Back at it. Consistency beats intensity every time.
@GoodnessEde Caught the rejection from that 86.9k zone too. Clean sell, well executed.
@MagnusTheTrader The market never issues refunds — only diplomas. Best to study hard while you’re paying.
@TraderMindFX This is the one. Missing a trade doesn’t mean the next one is ‘owed’ to you. The market doesn’t keep score like that — process over outcome every time.
@nahvTrades This is the part most people skip. Protecting the account is the real edge.
@Ploutos97 Exactly this. Chasing the next candle is how people stay busy and stay poor. Building something that compounds is how you actually get free.
@LUTHERLMS This is the most practical advice students will hear this year. A degree without a skill that people will actually pay for is becoming a luxury most families can’t afford. Trading, editing or marketing can start generating income while you’re still in school.
@lrtradesjournal Clean 1:1 and a first 50k pass in 11 days — that’s proper process. Well done.
@AndrewTradesNQ No fill is the correct outcome here. Price never tagged the 5m iFVG so sitting out was the disciplined call.
@Ploutos97 Useful list — Kingfisher ripping on the guidance upgrade is the standout on a pretty red open. Keeping an eye on IONQ and MRNA too.
@GeoffreyNwankpa This one is facts. Desperation for prop accounts don finish plenty people. If someone asks you to send money first so they can ‘announce you as winner’, that is not a giveaway — that is a scam. Do the challenge yourself.
@SJosephBurns This is why I treat the entry as the first risk decision, not a separate event. If price has already moved and the original stop would now be too wide for my 1% rule, I pass. The setup is no longer the same trade.
@wannabechamp The laptop is the easy part. The delusion is what keeps you opening the charts after the first 20 losses.
@LUTHERLMS Prop firms opened the door, but they also exposed how few traders can actually follow risk rules when real money is on the line.
@CollinsEtukl True. Markets aren’t inefficient by accident — they just hide the loopholes until someone actually looks. The edge is never in the obvious setup.
Most traders fail prop evaluations because of risk, not strategy.Risk 0.5–1% per trade max. Set a personal daily stop tighter than the firm’s limit. Never try to “catch up” after a loss. The evaluation rewards survival first. Profit comes after you protect the account. #PropTrading #RiskManagement #FundedTrader
@links_fx Mindset really is the edge — staying patient and treating losses as data instead of drama is what keeps you in the game. Gm 💛
