The school year looks a little different this year. With changes to school routines and an increase in virtual learning, children have also lost access to some of the most memorable and enriching parts of school: extra curriculars. See how we've adapted: linkedin.com/posts/the-hamm…
From violence to violins... music breaks down barriers and unites people. Keep playing! #socialchange
Watch this fantastic feature from @CIJAinfo on the Hammer Band and watch our founder Moshe Hammer talk about how helping others really benefits us all: facebook.com/cijainfo/video…
SUPPORTOR SPOTLIGHT | We want to acknowledge a longtime supporter of ours: @AzrieliFdn. The Azrieli Foundation has supported us over the years through a multi-year grant and now a COVID Restart grant. Thank you for your partnership. Your have allowed our students to flourish!
New school year, new format: 1) Lessons/classes will take place after school hours and on weekends 2) Due to restricted teaching hours, classes will be comprised of more students than normal 3) All in-person special events/concerts will be prohibited until further notice
We've got an exciting fall ahead! Are you signed up to receive our newsletter? We don't want you miss out. Sign up here: thehammerband.com/contact-us/
We are excited to say that The Hammer Band Summer Jam was a huge success, in large part to you - our donors! Thank you for helping us raise $27,000 to take our programming online. Read more about the 8-week Summer program over on our website: thehammerband.com/2020/09/22/a-s…
The value of #music #education! Students involved with #musiclessons in school perform better on entrance exams and standardized tests than their non-music peers.
Have you listened to Taylor Swift's new album Folklore, and heard violin on a few tracks? Read about how artist Bobby Hawk recorded during quarantine! ow.ly/aZPT50BpvAZ
Children who learn to play an instrument (like the violin!) and perform together learn important life skills such as self-discipline, #teamwork, and #resilience.
@musicbeyond_org @kaorifujii_net sounds absolutely beautiful!
Can you see a song? When the musician plays his violin, a world of shapes and color swirls into life. Illustrations are from Eric Carle's book "I See a Song" youtube.com/watch?time_con…
What a summer! Two of our students (who are siblings!) said farewell to this sunny season with a lovely duet rendition of Beethoven's Ode to Joy. This was captured at our final Summer Jam Zoom party.
LAST CALL! Students, enter our End -of-Summer giveaway to win one of our famous #iheartTheHammerBand tees! Contest details on our Instagram: instagram.com/p/CET9n3FA1hj/

Such a sweet exchange during our Zoom party last week! Our Summer Jam has fostered meaningful connection and fun social opportunities for our students in such a uncertain time.
The Summer Jam has been an absolute blast. We've almost hit our fundraising target of $30,000 goal - less than $5,000 to go. Can you help us meet our goal? gofundme.com/f/thehammerban…
Our teachers are inspiring, dedicated, and incredibly talented. We're so glad we can share their passion for music with our students.
