@slstrm_dsgn If you're introducing them to the mystery, show them this. We just geolocated the 'fantasy' castle in the map (Folio 86v) to Ischia, Naples. It matches the 1441 stone bridge (A) and the thermal vents (C) perfectly. It’s not a mystery book; it’s a spa manual. 👇

Minerals: The water contains "solfo" (sulfur), "nitro" (nitre/saltpeter), and "alume" (alum). Trace Elements: The author notes the presence of "rame" (copper) or "calcanto" (vitriol/copper sulfate).

Let's look at one spring...Bagno della Colata The text states that the water: "gioua à gli occhi" (benefits the eyes). "rischiara... la vista" (clears the sight). "aguzza la vista" (sharpens the vision).

The results are in. 🏥 Yesterday, we asked you to diagnose these figures. Most of you saw a ritual or a spa. We see a prescription. We cross-referenced these gestures with a medical manual from 1588. The match is precise. 🧵 A Forensic Thread.

Give us your best diagnosis in the replies. Tomorrow, we reveal the medical history behind the "Nymphs." (Hint: The water is Blue for a reason). Follow @TheHistoryCode for the reveal.

Now look at Exhibit B. Most figures bathe in groups. This woman is isolated in a hip-bath. Why? We found a medical manual from 1588 that prescribes this exact bath for a specific condition.

Time for a puzzle. 🕵️‍♀️ Look at this image from the Voynich Manuscript (Folio 80r). For 600 years, scholars called them "Nymphs." We think they are Patients. Look at the gesture. What is happening here? 👇

This is a chemical equation. Blue (Copper) + Yellow (Iron) + Volcanic Water = Green Vitriol. The manuscript is a pharmaceutical manual for a thermal hospital. And tomorrow, we reveal the patients.

We found the Castle. Next, we analyzed the water. 🧪 On Folio 79v, the pool turns distinctly Green. Floating next to it are three surreal animals. Most people see a fantasy scene. We see a chemical formula. 🧵

This is a chemical equation. What happens when you mix Blue (Copper) and Yellow (Iron) in a volcanic spring? You get the specific Green liquid seen in the pool. Tomorrow, we reveal exactly what that "Green Poison" was used for. 🧪 (Hint: Don't drink it).

The results are in. 🦁🐶🐉 Most of you saw a Dog, a Lion, and a Dragon. But why is the Dog BLUE? We think the answer isn't biology. It's chemistry.
