I understand if people don't like what I'm saying. But I've been into activism and fighting long enough to know without protecting our most vulnerable, without a clear plan on the longterm financial, without being as loud as possible where they can't ignore us, this isn't it End

Think of it this way, in order for a protest to work, we have to be SO loud they can't ignore us. Hiding off twitch and on twitter in the middle of this movement isn't going to accomplish what we want. It's time to be loud, outspoken and bring this activism ON twitch's platform.

This echos the "black square for BLM" trend that clogged hashtags/hid resources. Deplatforming is what they want. And I refuse to give in. I might get flamed for this, but I'm going to be using my platform to be LOUD, VOCAL ACTIVIST providing help/resources ON platform. 5/?

To be blunt, a day off twitch from all of us mid level streamers isn't even hitting Twitch's margin of error. Live ON STREAM calls to remove subs and move to fanhouse, to change bits to cash tips, to fight this in a long term format is the only way we can personally impact. 4/?

While i understand the intent behind it, the actions are the exact opposite of what should be happening. You want a financial impact? LETS CONTACT THE ADVERTISERS. You want twitch to listen? LETS ORGANIZE LIVE ON STREAM PROTESTS, across thousands of channels in unison. 3/?

I cannot comfortably join a movement that puts our most vulnerable in harms way, the BIPOC who aren't equipped for this. I cant back something that not only deplatforms our voices (what the hate raids want) but also throws the ones we should protect most in danger. 2/?

I will not be joining #ADayOffTwitch It throws every small BIPOC streamer to the flames. The majority aren't on "streamer twitter" and are unaware while also being the MOST underprepared/defenseless. In the moments we should be loudest, this call for silence is a misstep. 1/?
