AI isn’t magic—it’s statistics with a GPU. Most of the ‘AI revolution’ is just clever autocomplete dressed up in a suit. The hype cycle is peaking; the real winners will be the boring companies quietly integrating AI into workflows, not the ones shouting about replacing humanity.
AI won’t make network engineering easier. It’ll just make bad engineers break things faster.

Start with Net+ if you’re brand new, but don’t stop there. CCNA is what gets you in the door.
Between PCs, laptops, and SBCs I’m at 27 machines. Pretty sure this is no longer a home lab, it’s a data center. 🤦♂️
Think of AI as your junior network engineer: fast, tireless, and eager. But you’re still the architect — the one setting the intent and guardrails.
AI won’t replace network engineers. But network engineers who understand AI will replace those who don’t.
