Vaccine disinfo is so boring, I'll do this one time, though. Reality: No one during COVID realistically thought that the vaccine would stop 100% of every infection; literally no vaccine does this. The only people who "thought" people thought this were conservatives spreading quotes. There's a reason there was such a big hype in the beginning about getting Moderna/Pfizer vs J&J, EVERYONE was talking about the different protection rates; people would even playfully rib those who had the J&J vaccine. Let's run down the quotes Bill Gates, July 30, 2020: “During 2021 we should be able to manufacture a lot of vaccines, and that vaccine’s key goal is to stop transmission.” Source - finance.yahoo.com/news/bill-gate… Bill Gates is talking about stopping transmission via herd immunity, not that every single person will have a 100% chance of stopping the transmission. Funnily enough, your quote cuts off RIGHT WHEN HE EXPLAINS THIS. The full quote is... "and that vaccine's key goal is to stop transmission, to get the immunity levels up so you get almost no infection going on whatsoever." Bill Gates position is consistent with the research at the time, and this quote is a lie. CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, March 29, 2021: “We can kind of almost see the end where we’re vaccinating so very fast. Our data from the CDC today suggests, you know, that vaccinated people do not carry the virus, don’t get sick, and it’s not just in the clinical trials but also in real world data.” She spoke this casually on a talkshow, but her advice was literally contradicted by the CDC's own guidelines, and they clarified this days after her statements. Source - cnn.com/2021/05/21/pol… "The CDC’s website, however, continues to say that vaccines only “reduce the risk of people spreading COVID-19” not that people “can’t” spread it post-vaccination." "Three days later, on April 1, a CDC spokesperson seemingly walked back the director’s comments, telling The New York Times “Dr. Walensky spoke broadly during this interview” adding that “It’s possible that some people who are fully vaccinated could get Covid-19. The evidence isn’t clear whether they can spread the virus to others. We are continuing to evaluate the evidence.”" MSNBC host Rachel Maddow, March 29, 2021: “Now we know that the vaccines work well enough that the virus stops with every vaccinated person. A vaccinated person gets exposed to the virus? The virus does not infect them, the virus cannot then use that person to go anywhere else. I cannot use a vaccinated person as a host to go get more people.” Source: msnbc.com/transcripts/tr… Again, she's talking about herd immunity. Just a few statements above she's saying: "...not only are the vaccines for those folks, thousands of them, keeping those people from getting sick from COVID themselves, those vaccines are also highly effective at preventing those people from getting infected, even with non-symptomatic infection. And if you are not infected, you can`t give it to anybody else." "Highly effective" =/= 100% effective. They were highly effective. What she says here is true, this quote is again stripped of context. UCSF infectious disease expert Dr. Monica Gandhi, March 30, 2021: “Essentially vaccines block you from getting and giving the virus.” I found this from this news site: nbcbayarea.com/news/coronavir… This was written literally two paragraphs above: "The director is referring to a new study of nearly 4,000 frontline workers, some vaccinated and some not. They tested themselves weekly for COVID-19 infections between December and March. Among fully vaccinated people in the study, there were only three COVID-19 infections detected." The reference is to those statements. Again, not 100%. She even says "essentially" in her quote. --------------------- I honestly expected at least some of these to be incorrect, but after going through just four of these, lmao. All of this anti-vax stuff is completely stripped of all context because it's the only way you can sell your bullshit to others and make it believable. I'm glad you got kicked out of med school, you don't deserve to call yourself a doctor.
@TheOmniLiberal I mean they even changed the definition of vaccine so they can say that it still is one
@TheOmniLiberal Was this a justification to not just tell the truth & or frank or to not discourage dehumanizing speech & othering people while at the same time threatening their jobs for not complying with Gov. edicts? @philthatremains @ComicDaveSmith @jeffcharlesjr & @Pardonwillart am I off?
You're playing semantics it's not even close to 50% effective at keeping people from getting the virus or transmitting it. They 100% sold this as most people are not going to be able to get infected or transmit the virus which is not true at all. In every quote you shared you're using the benchmark of it works 100% effectively. Of course our exceptions to every rule and you're being pedantic about this to try to twist it to act like you're right
@TheOmniLiberal Every single time with the cope manifestos. Who are you trying to convince here? Seems like yourself
@TheOmniLiberal Pathetic little man. You called it wrong - own it.
@TheOmniLiberal You missed this one. BIDEN: “You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.” This was a common vibe/statement during the time. Effective rates started at 100 initially and slowly got lowered as folks got fact checked more
@TheOmniLiberal You’re embarrassing yourself here. Genuinely laughable.
@TheOmniLiberal I’m pretty conservative but this is one of the disingenuous things that feels like they are trying to gaslight me on. I remember the vaccine was always about NOT DYING if you got it.
@TheOmniLiberal You kid, would be working for Joseph Goebbels in 1940.
