I like how Tsuburaya is like "People of Japan, don't buy the Mill Creek releases! They're low quality! The discs won't play properly! They're practically bootleg level!" I know I've taken potshots at Mill Creek, but...damn.

I noticed that the Blu-ray for 2023's Ultraman Spirits fixes some of the mistakes from when it streamed, like having Maeda and Matsubara re-record lyrics they flubbed. I know that's more common with live releases than you think, but it still feels kinda like a cheat.

As an action director, he's up there with Yamaoka for me. He was similar in that he wanted grounded, brutal fights, but still stylish. He had an artistic eye that framed great looking visuals. He was main action director of Jiraiya, Changerion and Agito, so I recommend those.

It's kinda annoying how people search for a toku person's name on Google Images and assume everything that comes up actually pertains to that person. Or anyone a toku actor is photographed with must be one of their costars. Do the detective work!

I was at Sammo Hung's Wiki page... "Coincidentally." All of the Kensei voice-actors were chosen because they dubbed for the actors their characters were named after. Everybody knows that!

People still trash Ryohei Kobayashi, but don't get what he said. He specifically singled out the first two episodes of Fiveman as being well-made and of better quality than the modern shows, not all of Fiveman. And guess what? They are!
