@blind_via I've never ordered it so I can't say for sure, but from pictures online it seems to be more copper colored unfortunately

@jmbollenbacher The original model is in BF16 and all the quants should be derived from that. The FP8 is just a first party quant (which historically has not been very good). No idea why that is being taken as the baseline

@0xFFC8DA @d2beyondlight Truth is definitely easy and good. I've seen a solo two phase nezerec with minimal setup. With like almost zero setup it's an easy solo 3 phase.

@blind_via @Swole_Medic Qfp and other lead frame based packages pretty much always just fan out directly. The pads on the die essentially have to line up with the pins on the package

@blind_via @Metaforest Maybe they're there in case they needed some series terminations but it turned out they weren't necessary. Perhaps they were planning to cut the traces and solder in the resistors if it turned out to be a problem in practice for testing (and probably spin another revision)

@blind_via Looking at the FCC documentation, the antenna on the right is for Bluetooth, and the two antennas on the left are used together in a 2T2R configuration

@blind_via I'm pretty sure it'll "work" but it's super super super unsafe, just look at all those exposed metal surfaces... Also plugging then in the USB on the back is risky

@rodrigonh2 @blind_via Opened soldermask over RF traces on ENIG has roughly 40% higher loss

@cursedconnector @blind_via Typically on chip everything will be differential so it won't really be affected by outside noise

@blind_via Yeah I've designed a few. On second thought this could also be a dual band antenna. The one on the case could be resonant at low frequency, and this one is for high frequency. I think it can be thought of as sort of like an inductor which resonates with the parasitic capacitance

@blind_via Also a good trick for wirebonding too. You can't use silkscreen or solder mask since you need good planarity or else the die will crack. Instead you can make a cutout in the ground paddle for the die corner

@blind_via I think this one is a zif connector. I think the black tab has a hinge on the flat flex side

@blind_via In samtec's version of these (iirc), the ground plane enables 28gbps nrz signals. Also it's good for like 26A which I may or may not have misused as a power connection before

@shiva233233 I've gotten some successes by making sure the stencil is clean, and then printing the paste in a single pass with a lot of pressure. I've noticed that if I need to do a second pass, the stencil gets lifted or something and it'll end up with too much paste

@blind_via Maybe some vias are purposefully untented to double as test points? I've done that trick before

@blind_via Always put a big blob of solder on your tip unless you're literally actively soldering a joint. The solder will oxidize instead of your tip and it'll stay good for a very long time
