• Anterolisthesis is a forward moving #Spondylolisthesis slippage. It is the most commonly diagnosed type of slip. • Retrolisthesis is a backward moving #Spondylolisthesis slippage. • The most common level to witness both types of slips is the L5/S1, followed by L4/5.

Please be ⚠️ about having ONLY decompression 4 #Spondylolisthesis. W/out the benefit of a fusion 2 stabilize, ur slip may be placed at high risk 4 new/fast progression, as well as new/more instability. Decompression alone further weakens the region, making it more vulnerable

#Spondylolisthesis • both #Anterolisthesis & #Retrolisthesis • may present at the cervical levels. Cervical slips are measured in a different way than lumbar slips (grades 1-5). Cervical slips are measured as follows: Minor (<2mms), Moderate (2-3.4mms) & Severe (>3.5mms).

#Spondylolisthesis is also referred to by several other terms, most common are #Anterolisthesis & #Retrolisthesis. These terms indicate the direction of the slippage. Anterolisthesis is a forward slip, and is the more common direction. Retrolisthesis is a backward slip.

While #Spondylolisthesis may occur at any level throughout the spine, the most common location for a slip to present is in the Lower Lumbar region. The L4/5 and L5/S1 are the two most common locations to witness a slippage.

#Spondylolisthesis - or a slip of one vertebral body over the lower adjacent vertebral body - may occur at any location throughout the spine. Not to be confused with a disc herniation - or a condition often inaccurately called a “slipped disc.”
