@TheStormWeather @Jessicae13Eaton You can do this. Yes it is scary and can be tough but it beats an existence of always wondering 'what it?' I left after nearly 23 years together and 20 years of marriage. I am still on the journey of making my life what I want it to be but at least I'm no longer in that rut.
Listen to that voice that niggles at you about why you aren’t happy and why you feel you should leave. Write it all down. Get it all out. Let it all out.
Life is so short, you get one go. Please my sisters, love yourselves. If you aren’t happy and it isn’t working anymore - whether you been together 2 months or 20 years, leave and find yourself again.
I know it’s gonna hurt, it really does hurt. The realisation. The future you had planned together. The kids. The house. The holidays. Whatever it is. It will hurt. But do you want to be there for the rest of your life, thinking ‘I wish I could leave him’? Please don’t do that
I’m choosing to talk about this because I am shocked how many women in my circles hear that I left in June and say to me ‘I wish I could do that’. Please listen to your body and your brain. If that’s your response, please get out. You have your whole life ahead of you.
Since I decided to leave my marriage, so many women around me have approached me to say they are trapped in loveless marriages, abusive relationships, violence or with men who make them miserable. I beg you, leave. If you can. Tell someone how you’re feeling. Trust yourself.
