The US can quickly resume providing military aid to let Ukraine stabilize the front lines near the current locations. Or it can let the Russians defeat the Ukrainian military and drive toward the NATO borders from the Black Sea to central Poland. There is no third option. (1/3)

2/ The risks of a Russian attack against NATO in the near future would rise dramatically if the US allows Russia to defeat Ukraine now, and the challenge of defending the Baltic States in particular could become almost insurmountable.
The US is too mired in bureaucracy. The war has been going on for three years now and it is clear that Putin is not going to stop. Putin will never stop voluntarily, it will be the end of his career and life
@TheStudyofWar @TheIntelFrog What Europe will lose minimum if the Soviets take Ukraine .. Russia will continue on taking as much land as they can since America and Europe aren't going to do anything about it .. Basically the Warsaw Pact reinvented minimum ..
Do people actually get paid for producing this crap? There is a clear third option. Ukraine is forced to agree a peace deal, loses the annexed territories and is prevented from joining NATO. And nothing else happens. The peace deal being negotiated in the spring of 2022, that the US sabotaged, contained no territorial transfers to Russia. The Donbas would have remained in Ukraine as two autonomous republics. If Russia had intended using Ukraine as its first step to invading Europe, which is so preposterous that it's a struggle to bother to include it in this post, then the peace deal was a perplexing one. Further US aid will not stabilise anything, it will simply lead to an even greater tragedy for Ukraine, but let's be serious, the US never cared a jot for Ukraine. Ukraine was meant to be the tool that helped bring down the Russian Federation. Unfortunately for Ukraine, Russia proved resilient to sanctions, and therefore its contribution has continued beyond its expiry date. The West doesn't have a Plan B so all they can do is to keep funnelling Ukrainians into the meat grinder and hope something turns up.
@TheStudyofWar scare tactics fallacy is nothing new in geopolitics.
@TheStudyofWar "drive toward NATO". Sounds scary.
@TheStudyofWar Cos Biden needs his MONEY!
@TheStudyofWar Not a great map. You made the water grey and a bunch of land blue.
