Self love isn’t just important, it’s everything. If you don’t love and take care of yourself you can’t take care of anyone else. If you neglect and betray yourself, you’ll neglect and betray others. Get your relationship with yourself right first.
@Theholisticpsyc Self-love isn't selfish, it's the foundation for authentic happiness and growth!
@Theholisticpsyc People that love to help others often sacrifice a lot. But it’s important to address your own needs first, if you don’t, it is highly unlikely you will be able to meet anyone else's needs.
@Theholisticpsyc Absolutely! It's crucial to prioritize self-love. Remember, when you value and nurture yourself, you'll have much more to give to those around you.
@Theholisticpsyc I learnt to love myself by changing the conversation in my head through meditation. It’s not about stopping thoughts, it’s about changing your relationship with them.
@Theholisticpsyc Wise words 👏 🙏🎯 One can not drink from a dry well nor quench an other's thirst with dust.
@Theholisticpsyc Love this Nicole. This to me is why so many relationships fail. We believe the relationship exists with the partner when in reality it exists within yourself. How you see yourself is what is reflected on your relationship. Love yourself and watch your relationship transform.
What Dr Nicole is saying is profound yogic wisdom too. I can give $1 to someone when I have that dollar with me; I can’t give if I have none. You can give to others only when you have it first and give only what you have. So equip yourself first in whatever way you can- education, skills, hobbies, courses. Now you can share it with others, you can make your family better. I will love others only when I love myself; I can share my education with others only when I am educated first. It is not greedy it is serving others right ways.
@Theholisticpsyc First recognise you exist so you don’t keep sabotaging your life. Then recognise your importance so you learn to satisfy your needs. Then recognise intimacy with your own being, so you build a life around you. Then just be. Be all that you are, to yourself and the world.
