Yea, and the point i was making is that if you take a country that was going threw purges and famine and start properly developing the economy, it’s much easier to see huge growth because your starting from such a low point that it’s almost inevitable. All the CCP had to do was stay out of the way.

So I’ve been doing more research actually. Comparing Luxembourg to US isn’t really a fair argument because of the population difference. Now if you do versus a more fair comparison like Vermont this is the outcome I thew in San Fransisco just to give you an example of cherry picking. lol

All of these statistics and yet we have more disposable income than Germany. Which is kinda crazy if you think about it. All these services are cheaper but at the cost of an overburdened tax system is what I’m assuming is happening here. I mean California alone has an economy close to the size of Germany. Throw in Texas and two states alone are bigger than Germany. Something doesn’t add up.

None of this accounts for population size. Also if you do a disposable income chart it looks a lot different. Luxembourg is the only country on that list that has more disposable income but you have to factor in their tiny size. So even though Luxembourg has a higher median per adult we have way more people living better and richer lives than Luxembourg because of the size difference.

China’s local plus corporate debt is higher and it doesn’t control global capital flows. Growth is what Europe needs. They need to start cutting taxes and regulations to spur innovation and growth. Get the entrepreneurial mindset going. Taking on debt for the right reasons. Rewarding risk takers instead of punishing people who dare to take risk and innovate. That’s why the EU brain drain to the U.S. is so breathtaking. All of your risk takers and entrepreneurs set up shop here. I still believe in Europe.

It hasn’t been a problem yet. Can it spiral out of control? Possibly but you’re conflating interest burden with inability to pay. Rising interest costs matter, but they don’t imply the U.S. can’t service its debt. Interest as a share of revenue has fluctuated before and fell rapidly once growth and inflation outpaced rates. You can grow your way out of debt. Clinton balanced the budget in the 90s because of the dot com boom. Innovation and growth can do it again.

I don’t think you understand anything I’ve just been saying. USA can’t run it to the end because there is no end. Debt only becomes a problem when you can’t pay it back. France is running through prime minsters fast because they have to cut the budget because they don’t have the money to keep paying the debt. Why, because the economy isn’t growing fast enough compared to the debt they owe. More debt for France with less and less. It’s like taking a loan out for 100 but every investment is bringing back 80 then 70 and so on. The banks are eventually gonna stop lending to you.l because they see the writing on the wall. That’s what’s happening with France.
