You also have to wonder why Team USA ran Demarius Smith on leg 2 in the prelim instead of Vernon Norwood. Smith has broken 45 seconds once in his life and was 7th at USAs. Norwood was 4th at USAs and has broken 45 eleven times this year. And has tons of relay experience.
