Our third child, at about 10 weeks in utero, was determined to have died. His body was not present on scans and there was no more heartbeat. We scheduled a follow-up for the next day and went home to cry. While at home, I remembered that a student had graciously given me a bottle of Lourdes water. I pulled it from my bag and blessed Mrs. Geekdom’s belly with the water in the Sign of the Cross. The next day, to see what they were dealing with, they did another scan and our son was back where he belonged, strong heartbeat, all his little limbs moving wildly. We named him after a very Marian saint and have raised him to have special gratitude to Our Lady of Lourdes. He has entertained the idea of a priestly vocation since he was very young.

The student of mine who gave us the Lourdes water, by the way, is named Elizabeth. She is probably about 30 now and we see her weekly at Mass and I’m sure she would appreciate all your prayers.
@ThyGeekdomCome God has blessed you many times over.
