@DMC_Ryan If you’re doing the conversion to USD then the ps5 is now $100 less than at launch. It’s just down to the yen halving in value.

@DestinLegarie Components are priced in USD. In 2020 66980 yen was worth $670 Now 79980 yen is worth $553. The exchange rate change means the cost of the console has gone up for Japanese people but Sonys still $100 worse off.

@jasonschreier That seems perfect. They should have complete inconsistency on what they do with other platforms. Get the benefit of selling on other platforms but don’t make it something people can rely on. The dumb thing this week was telling people Indies coming to ps5 early.

@_kazimo @DestinLegarie We’ve seen a lot of Indy too. Other than a trailer at launch I don’t see a need for them to show more than they have. What else are you looking for? As it’s Microsoft I don’t actually expect any advertising at launch really. They’ll probably just post a pic on instagram.

@JayDubcity16 Do you think any Series S owners thought they were going to get the best version with a console that was almost half the price and advertised as a lower spec? It’s hardly a revelation that the device aimed at people who don’t care as much about graphics has worse graphics.
