@guruintraining_ Consider that Kingston is a hill… try riding a bicycle and you’ll see… here are some elevations: Papine is 700ft, New Kingston is 300ft, Cross Roads 200ft

@NBCSCycling Really? So the logic is that it’s the younger riders who are making cycling less safe? If this what you believe then it must come back to who causes the crashes. Please prove your theory.

@kevinobriencha1 This is very h good analysis… very good to see Jamaica trending in the right direction but very sad to see the very high and increasing rates across most of the region

@kevinobriencha1 The Gleaner has it wrong… too compare murder rates, they need to use per capita murder rate. Unfortunately, our lovely Jamaica is the murder capital of the world, although it is good news that we don’t rank highest in 2023 or 2024.

@Mario_Don_ @xela_adrian @DamienWKing GCT is on electricity is not borne by manufacturers as they claim it as a tax credit from the govt. It only affects SMEs that are not registered to collect GCT.

@prolificODP @DamienWKing Your bill will increase because the 7% tax is to be applied on all usage. You used 169kWh - you only paid GCT on the portion over 150kWh ~ 19kWh. The 7% is to be applied to the full 169 kWh.

@DamienWKing No, I don’t think that the relationship is so simple. In many countries pay is lower than ours and so is the cost of living, in others pay is higher and cost of living lower… or in many major cities in developed countries pay is higher and so is the cost of living.

@Junior2uu Not a tourist supermarket… yes some supermarkets are more expensive than others… imported items always cost more here than in the US… fresh produce has skyrocketed after Beryl… yes most Jamaicans don’t buy the items he picked up

@electric_watts @got_cake @nicht_weit @DahiepaYou Many bad and good things to say about it, but yes you need to earn several times what the help earns to be able to afford it.

@NationwideRadio Depends on the crime. Those convicted of serious crime should be barred from being sitting in parliament. Forgiveness and being able to get on with your life after serving time is different from becoming a legislator.
