Two different video recording apps, SAME result, which leads me 2 believe this is an @Apple iOS problem. I can choose HDMI as an Audio monitoring option, but that disables the external microphone. Lightning iPhones could do this b4 iOS 26. USB-C devices can't do it on either OS.
I like iOS 26... (I Beta tested it on a spare iPhone & have public release iPadOS 26 on USB-C based iPads) but it BROKE my studio workflow. I might be the only one affected, but I don't think it would take too long to fix this. It's for 2 @Apple products. youtu.be/kHLFrw5d6TU

Unsigning iOS 18.6.2 without warning while we’re still on iOS 26.0 (That’s a point ZERO!) is insanity @Apple. This is the kind of thing that makes people think about abandoning a platform. How about an IPSW for 18.7 !?! Give us another week or two. Yes… I am frustrated.
Dodged a bullet today. I installed iOS 26.1 Dev to see if @Apple fixed video passthrough in the Lightning Dock. They didn’t. I thought about giving it some time to see if it needed to download something but decided to roll back to 18. Good thing I did. They just unsigned 18.6.2.
For LIVE Production… this HDMI monitoring update in 3.1 is super interesting @Blackmagic_News. We just need a good dock or hub that can handle it!
Right now it takes 10 taps to switch from controlling the amazing Force Mobile with 1 Ronin to another in the @DJISupport Ronin app. (Hey... AT LEAST we can do it!) What I'm proposing would reduce that to 3 taps. Also... Pan & Tilt PRESETS would be sweet. youtu.be/kBjQQo6KDyQ
Now I'm COMPLETELY perplexed. I upgraded the internal drive of my MacBook Air to Tahoe expecting it to fix the BMD Camera App 3.0 issue. It did not. It still crashes. Uninstalled. Reinstalled. Still crashes. Meanwhile if I boot to my external installation of Tahoe it works FINE.

It really beautiful & tons of features. BUT I'm gonna have to roll back to iOS 18 tho because I use the Lightning Dock for audio and Dig. AV Adapter to get video out of iPhones to a video switcher. Dock alone works for audio. AV Adapter works for video but NOT both together.

UPDATE: I posted this on v. 2.3 of the @Blackmagic_News Camera App running @Apple's macOS 15.6.1. The BMD Camera App 3.0 upgrade didn't work for me in macOS 15.6.1 or 15.7. Another guy running 15.6 says it's working for him. The Tahoe RC Beta works for me with BMD 3.0. You?

Updated to iOS 26 RC and the @Apple Lightning Dock still isn't working. 😭 Will have to roll back to iOS 18 before 9.15 until I can afford new phones. 😢

Wow! Syncing clips from remote cameras! It's GREAT to have that feature back from the dead (ref. the long ago discontinued RecoStudio Multicam App from 2014). Also looking forward to trying out the LIVE Stream feature when it comes to iOS.
