Do you see what’s happening? There is a coordinated campaign underway to try and revive the Tory party that nearly destroyed Britain. The Tories this week polled LESS than what they won in 2024. They’ve lost their deposit at almost every parliamentary by-election in England and have massively underperformed their polling. They want you to believe things have changed when 92% of Kemi’s team were in past Tory governments that wrecked this country. But now look around the media class and the coordinated campaign against Reform UK. Do you see what’s happening?

Are some people seriously contemplating voting Tory again? Have they lost their minds? Do they not remember the years 2010-2024 - the economic stagnation, the housing crisis, the immigration shambles, the deepening 'wokeification' of our institutions and society, the mad green zealotry, the sacrificing of our energy security? Does all that get forgotten because Kemi Badenoch can turn a decent phrase? The Tories deserve to die a slow death. They should certainly never get anywhere near power again for a good many years.

Reform UK should be held to high standards. I don't think anybody is disputing that. But watching the latest Channel 4/ITV investigations I did wonder: Where is the year-long undercover investigation into the grooming gangs and the Labour-held councils and police officers who enabled them for years? Where's the year-long investigation into the mosques, Islamic charities and educational foundations that are suspected of supporting Islamism in this country? Where's the prime-time investigation into the pro-Palestine or pro-Hamas activists who have been marching through our streets for years? Where's the investigation into the civil service and why supposedly impartial government units are now becoming so openly political? Where's the undercover sting operation into the Green party, Stand Up To Racism, Hope Not Hate, and other far-left groups -- including their links to the Labour Party and funding from British taxpayers? Where's the detailed uncover work on the global multinationals that are ruthlessly exploiting British workers, the corrupt regimes exploiting foreign aid from the British people, or the organised foreign national networks exploiting Britain's welfare state? None of this is to downplay the investigation into Reform UK. Personally, I think all this makes the party stronger over the longer-term. The party should and no doubt will improve its internal policies as a result. It is also now crystal clear to everybody in this country what is going on. Establishment interest groups are trying to dismantle the party. But I still ask: if the media and journalists are going to do this kind of deep undercover work then shouldn't they be doing it to everybody? Because right now it looks like they are only interested in discrediting the one political party that wants to overturn the broken status-quo.

Speak to any hard-bitten older farmer around me in Somerset, or anywhere in Britain, and they will tell you that they grew up among fields teeming with corncrakes, grass snakes, hares, hedges full of yellowhammers and other songbirds, car windscreens splattered with bugs after the shortest summer drive, nearly all now gone. 98% of wildflowers, gone. Huge shoals of herring, cod, and other fish in the sea, a distant memory. Across almost every indicator, the losses during just one human lifetime have been catastrophic. The data is all there, as are the anecdotes. Britain is among the most nature-depleted countries on earth.

@TrooperSnooks @p4rus We are not the most nature depleted country. That's just a myth. We are one of the most human altered countries, i.e. one with the least amount of truly wild places. Our biodiversity is actually quite high for a small country, partly as a result of human intervention.

ITV undercover 🚨 Remember what Dominic Cummings said … "Whitehall will break the law to prevent Reform UK winning power. They'll leak medical records, tax records. They'll bug his phone and leak that. They'll do anything that they need to."

STATEMENT I am aware that ITV infiltrated the Portsmouth Reform UK branch for their undercover report. I am featured in their documentary. Not in a bad way, in my opinion, but still featured. I’ll get to that in a minute…. What I am more shocked and disgusted in is that I now know who the two reporters were whom infiltrated us. These two men campaigned with us in March/April in Portsmouth and it leads me to wonder whether their interference in an election is a potential criminal offence. We have no way to know whether they posted flyers they were meant to. Or whether they gave us correct door knocking information. They campaigned in four seats specifically where, in 3, we lost by a small number of votes. Their involvement would have had an impact on the result. By default ITV could have literally paid reporters to ruin an election result for Reform UK candidates. That has to be criminal. On a personal level I allowed these men in my home. I made them drinks. They met my dogs. It’s an entirely disgusting invasion of personal privacy. I have photos of these men and know who they are - I will not disclose them at this stage but may in the future once I’ve gotten advice In relation to my involvement with the documentary I remain firm in everything I personally said. I was never a member of the Portsmouth Patriots, as the documentary states, but I have supported their movement over the years from the sidelines. The executive team who run them are good people. Yes outside third parties have come in and done some abhorrent things. Those people should be condemned. But the local group themselves are decent, passionate, local residents who care deeply about their community. I’m appalled by ITV and hope they are held to account for their potential criminal behaviour and election interference. The two reporters involved in infiltrating Portsmouth I hope are held to account for their personal actions in the outcome of elections. The money, resources and time spent by companies and individuals to damage Reform UK are unprecedented in our political system - you have to ask yourself why?

The WSJ starting to admit the obvious: Western democracy when combined with fiscally negative immigration and a generous welfare state, inexorably creates a solvency crisis. (they didn't mention the immigration part but it's an essential ingredient in the toxic mix) their words are unusually stark: > It’s also a litmus test of a pressing question facing the West: Is it possible for political leaders to rein in spending on ever expanding welfare states? So far, the answer seems to be no, increasing the chances that countries like Britain are inching toward a financial reckoning. the welfare state + open borders model is a clear democracy failure mode and there's no obvious way out. no western European nation will reform pensions or entitlements. they are actually fundamentally incapable of doing what must be done. (the immigration aspect is virtual corollary to democracy because it creates incentives for the left to import reliable voters, so at least part of the time immigration is virtually unfettered.) the UK, with maximum, unending immigration, an aging and shrinking workforce, a tiny and overexploited base of taxpayer paypigs, highly financialized service / financial industry, a legacy of welfare as political payoffs to disenfranchised groups, an inability to cut pensions, and a stagnant, is the poster child for this disease and the worst affected but by no means the only nation in this predicament. the UK's grim fiscal state is the future of every western nation, unless something changes dramatically. aging population + increasingly discouraged working-age adults + highly mobile capital & elites that simply leave under onerous tax regimes + mass and unending fiscally negative immigration + expensive decarbonization and deindustralization + a left wing that is totally committed to immigration, over all else + a total inability to cut entitlements = fiscal crisis and eventual default in the end, the wealthy and the entrepreneur class that actually power growth will simply leave to escape the tightening tax noose. the government will become increasingly reliant on the middle/upper middle professional classes who lack the ability to leave, completely eliminating any motive to be entrepreneurial or take risks. the economy will become increasingly torpid as dynamism vanishes. the left will continue to gain power due to slow electoral build of immigration and will continue to honor their side of the deal, which is neverending handouts to fiscally useless electoral client groups. case studies like south africa, venezuela and lebanon show us that life can get worse, and worse, and worse, and worse and worse. things getting extremely bad are not a guarantee that they won't continue to get worse. don't be fooled by anticipating a sudden realization among political elites that they have employed the wrong formula. things can just get steadily worse for decades and decades with no escaping the slide. if I had to guess, I would venture that if no MAJOR (and I'm talking _major_) political reform occurs in western Europe, the continent will enter a sovereign debt crisis in the coming decade, standards of living will collapse, life expectancy will collapse, entitlements will be ravaged. I anticipate something akin to the effect that the collapse of the Soviet Union had on the local population, or worse. politics will be polarized between the ultraright and far left, each with their own radical solution to the problem (extirpating immigrants, versus actual socialism). I don't know which of the two will prevail. neither the right nor the left is willing to reform entitlements, which is the biggest problem, and so the market will do it for them. the US may escape their fate, but I am not particularly optimistic it will. our demographics and willingness to do hard things (on immigration, eg) are marginally better, but our spending and fraud-based entitlement economy is almost just as bad. no major party will even contemplate uttering that boomer luxury communism must end eventually. it's not even a topic in the midterms nor will it be in '28. the productivity boost from AI might grant European nations a slight reprieve in the medium term, but it wont salvage their bleak fiscal situation in the end. this is because almost no European nation controls the industrial inputs to AI (beyond ASML), so their gain is limited to the productivity uplift from deployment of the technology, while they remain vassals to the nations which actually control the deeper stack. moreover, a GDP and tax revenue boost from AI can easily be outspent. these nations have a spending problem, not a revenue problem. they can always dream up utterly farcical new handout schemes, like the UK's "motability". additionally, while AI creates a legion of highly productive entrepreneurs, they will all tax optimize and the benefits of new firms will largely not be captured by their respective governments. capital and startups are more portable than they have ever been. AI simply accelerates the pareto-ization of the economy whereby a shrinking minority of founders produces more value whilst more and more are idle and depend on handouts from the productive few. however, capital and human capital mobility destroys this fragile arrangement and strips the idle many of their benefactors. AI buys Western Europe at most a few years of delay to the inevitable crisis.

Andrew Neil gives the Rejoin EU fantasists a dose of reality they rarely get on Question Time. The argument is still being conducted as though Britain left the Europe of 2016 and can simply climb back aboard the same train. Neil’s point is devastatingly simple: that Europe no longer exists. The political balance has shifted, its biggest economies are struggling, and rejoining the single market or customs union comes with obligations and costs that are too often waved away by those selling Brexit reversal as free money. He also reminds Remainers of something they prefer to forget. There were serious economic arguments for staying in the EU in 2016, but the official campaign squandered them with a relentlessly negative campaign and then spent years raging at the electorate for delivering the wrong answer. You cannot rerun 2016 in 2026 and pretend nothing changed. The #EU is rapidly becoming a goose step away from 1933... #Rejoin #Brexit

Labour got a kicking. Now, you’re threatening to retrospectively ban major donations to Reform. Even though Labour get millions from trade unionists, half of whom are probably Reform voters. You’re terrified because Labour are going to get a kicking in 2029. You’ll lose your seat, Ange! Be honest, what you’d really like is to ban Reform.
