"More than half of Antarctica's native species will likely disappear by the end of the century if global warming continues at its current pace" There has been no warming in Antarctica over the last 30 years. Typical fraud from the #ClimateScam realclimatescience.com/2022/12/will-l…
@TonyClimate It's so cold in Antarctica in winter that the stratosphere is actually warmer! CO2 is blocking downwelling IR from there which would warm. Science is complex. CO2 behavior predictable sciencenews.org/article/warmin…
@TonyClimate UPI: “conservation efforts in Antarctica are not working on the rapidly changing continent.” IPCC: they have “low confidence in both WAN and EAN {temperature} trend estimates due to sparse in situ records & large interannual to inter-decadal variability.” ipcc.ch/report/ar6/wg1…
@TonyClimate @WalterHorsting Besides the penguins there is only rudimentary plant life.
@TonyClimate During MIS-11 enough of Antarctica melted to raise sea levels 14m. Greenland nearly melted completely to add the additional 6m for an overall sea level 20m above current. Penguins have been around 60 MILLION YEARS.
@TonyClimate @kylenabecker Still waiting for that ice-free Arctic we were promised. That and The Great Pumpkin.
@TonyClimate 70 years "Antarctic continent has not warmed in the last 7 decades despite a monotonic increase in the atmospheric concentration of greenhouse gases. AIS plays significant role in decreasing susceptibility of the Antarctic continent to CO2-forced warming" nature.com/articles/s4161…
@TonyClimate Same readings from James Bay. I'd post the results but Google erased my original Google Sheets and images that show a similar flat line.
