$QQQ is starting to look like a possible failed breakout here. We have the conditions for a bit of a slide/air pocket for sure, only thing is lots of people calling for it based on breadth. This is where you get ready to pull the rip cord on any loose longs or anything that doesn't hold up and don't argue with stops. Still a few things out there that look ok but that can/does change very quickly. Interested to see how we close the week as looks like we're headed for distribution today, do we accelerate tomorrow and into the weekend is what I'm watching to see?

I’ve studied hundreds of the biggest stock market winners from the past. Different decades. Different industries. Different stories. But the same characteristics keep showing up. Here’s what I study: 1. Base structure Cup-with-handle, flat base, VCP, IPO base. The names change. Strong price structures repeat. 2. Volume I look for signs of institutional accumulation: heavy-volume advances, quiet pullbacks, and unusual volume around key price levels. 3. Relative strength The biggest winners rarely become leaders overnight. I want to see strong relative performance before the breakout. 4. Fundamentals I study sales and EPS growth, but especially acceleration. Exceptional price moves often come with exceptional business momentum. 5. Leadership & themes Great stocks rarely move in isolation. I look at the industry, the theme, and whether other stocks confirm the strength. 6. Behavior after the breakout The best winners often make holding easier: strong follow-through, controlled pullbacks, tight consolidations, and support around key moving averages. I don’t study historical winners to memorize old stocks. I study them to train my eyes for the next generation of leaders. The names change. The characteristics repeat.
