BREAKING: Texas IOL Payton Kirkland plans to enter the Transfer Portal, he tells @On3sports The 6’6 350 IOL from Orlando, FL held 50+ Offers out of high school Will have 4 years of eligibility remaining on3.com/db/payton-kirk…
@Hayesfawcett3 @On3sports @gbpkay For people that don’t know the rules: He cannot transfer to a SEC school.
@TravisSkol @Hayesfawcett3 @On3sports @gbpkay He can transfer to an SEC school, he just would be required to sit out a year before being eligible to play. He can transfer to any non SEC school and have immediate eligibility.
@RynoAg @Hayesfawcett3 @On3sports @gbpkay I should’ve elaborated, you’re right. But nobody is transferring anywhere to sit while they can be immediately eligible elsewhere.
@TravisSkol @RynoAg @Hayesfawcett3 @On3sports @gbpkay Except Cayden Green…
@TravisSkol @RynoAg @Hayesfawcett3 @On3sports @gbpkay Technically speaking Texas is not part of the SEC till July sooo idk if he would tbh
@TravisSkol @RynoAg @Hayesfawcett3 @On3sports @gbpkay Wasn’t Caleb downs gonna transfer to Georgia
@TravisSkol @Hayesfawcett3 @On3sports @gbpkay Yeah, I figured that's what you meant but have seen the confusion from other tweets so figured I'd add to the context.
@TravisSkol @RynoAg @Hayesfawcett3 @On3sports @gbpkay What about Green?
@TravisSkol @RynoAg @Hayesfawcett3 @On3sports @gbpkay He has 4 years of eligibility, he isn’t likely to see the field next year if he transfers to a competitive school, but transferring to an SEC school would guarantee that. He could always go back to Florida & give FSU or Miami a shot and see what happens next year. (Most likely.)
