Model Y sales in Europe dropped in every quarter of 2023. It's unclear why this happened. Supply was not an issue. • 73,386 in Q1 2023 • 65,511 in Q2 2023 • 62,399 in Q3 2023 • 53,663 in Q4 2023 You can see Model 3 and total Tesla sales here: teslamotorsclub.com/tmc/threads/te…
@TroyTeslike You posted something similar a few months ago. M3 makes up some of the gap with growth every quarter, but not enough so it appears Tesla volumes slightly dropping.
@DeanToovey Yes, but now it looks more flat except for a Model 3 supply issue in Q3 2023. This is not a great sign for 2024. • 94,819 in Q4 2022 • 94,242 in Q1 2023 • 92,196 in Q2 2023 • 85,581 in Q3 2023 • 93,161 in Q4 2023
@TroyTeslike @DeanToovey Doesn’t total sales being flat indicate buyers are choosing the new Model 3 over the current Model Y? I suspect low affordability due to high interest rates in the primary driver of flat total sales, not competition, lack of uktrasonics, or other reasons.
@TroyTeslike @DeanToovey Recession in Germany and UK likely playing a factor.
@TroyTeslike @DeanToovey How have VW EVs fared during the same timeframe?
