Intellectual respectful debate between atheists and religious people should be welcomed - that's different than Islamophobia bit.ly/2FkTH6g

@Hegghammer @hilderestad What kind of exclusion and inclusion criteria is that data based on? If Muslims are included in the jihad category just because they use some Islamic rhetoric, and violent racists are excluded despite their racist motives&rhetoric (such as EDL&Golden Dawn) the data lacks validity

@mehdirhasan I hold everyone in the terror industrial complex responsible for this. By creating a false narrative that terrorist equates Muslim, and accepting that states use the pretext of fighting terror to violate human rights, they've paved the way for this kind of fascist thinking

When most Muslims understand jihad as a duty to do good, it's unfortunate that researchers contribute to Islamophobic misconceptions by portraying it as an evil that needs to be fought
