@khatriafaz muting "@grok" clears out the bot chains, and you can mute any big account without unfollowing, they never know. then follow a few people who post screenshots of their own stuff, not takes about everyone else's
@iam1n0b0dy the feed noticed you paused on one once and took it personally 😭 block the accounts posting it instead of just scrolling, that's a much stronger "no" than skipping. a few blocks and it figures it out
@noface_trdr yes! Settings → Privacy and safety → Mute and block → Muted words → add "WhatsApp", tick Home timeline + Notifications, duration Forever. add "wa.me" too, that's the link format the scam ones use
@SaltySierraDog no dog pics to offer sadly 😔 but you can train it: search "dogs", tap Latest, and like + linger on a bunch. the feed picks up fast on what you stop for. it's the one time doomscrolling is productive
@BroSpencer depends what you're into, but best trick I know: open the profile of someone you already love and look at who THEY follow and reply to. good accounts cluster together. 5-10 follows from there and your feed changes within days
@TemetNoscePlz33@X for not losing them: hit the 🔔 on their profile so you get their posts, and actually reply to them now and then. the feed keeps showing accounts you interact with and quietly drops the ones you just scroll past
@said_neff grok ones: mute "@grok" and every post tagging it disappears. the "DON'T do X" ones are bait, and tapping "See more" is exactly the engagement they're fishing for, so the feed serves you more. block 4-5 of those authors and it dries up fast
@Kent_Stark@grok there's no switch for it sadly, but this gets close: hit "Not interested" on political posts whenever you see them, and mute neutral words like "election", "senate", "congress", "polls" for 30 days. blocking the rage-bait accounts helps most
"Just use the Following tab" is great advice.
Until you realize For You is where you discover anything new.
You don't need a smaller bubble. You need a better one.
@ccruuma Mute "stoliz" plus both names in Muted words, then hit "Not interested" on the next 3–4 drama posts. Your feed should calm down in a couple of days.
@MarsHomestead those usually come from one or two automated traffic accounts. mute or block them and they're gone. if it's a bunch of different ones, muting "traffic alert" or "road closure" for 30 days catches most of them
@guinessdrinker it's fixable-ish. "Not interested" on a few slop posts in one sitting is a strong signal, and blocking the obvious bot accounts instead of scrolling past works even better. it starts thinning out after a few days
@debbiejoslin2@elonmusk That mix is by design sadly: For You sorts by "will you like this", not by time. Following → Recent is the closest thing to the old chronological feed, and pinning a List of favourites gives you an Instagram-style "close friends" view.
@ChrisKemp4ik@X@Support One thing that can cause that: reposts. Following still shows what your follows repost, so it can look like randoms. On any account you follow: profile → ⋯ → Turn off reposts. If that's not it, it's a bug and a List is your best bet for now.
@seoyounghorre the For You tab reshuffles every time you leave and come back 😭 the Following tab (sorted by Recent) stays put, so you can scroll back to where you were
@DaphneLakecha every time you stop to read one, the feed takes it as interest lol. easiest out: mute "kardashian" and "kardashians" for 7 or 30 days, it all comes back on its own once the hype dies
@wil_hubert Part of that is the feed, not the creators: For You leans on what the people you follow have liked, so if they all like the same stuff, you see it too. Following 5-10 people outside your niche shifts it, and usually shifts what you post too.
