@TheUCS473 @Stu_Lyle @thinkdefence It seems as recently as 2011 and 2004 there are documented cases of bayonet kills and/or charges in combat - both by British troops. That's enough for me to reject the propsotision that the bayonet is obsolete. CQC aside, a useful bushcraft tool... and just f-ing cool.

@sug_knight It's illegal for a truck driver to work more than 11 hours straight - and rightly so. But a nurse, who performs triage, administers drugs, and various other tasks that don't bode well for 'mistakes' can be worked like a mule to exhaustion perfectly legaly - make that make sense.
