Tweeting this for posterity only but Asher Cunningham played one of the most impressive defensive games I’ve seen for Utah State last night

Some info for context: ▪️PFF no longer controls the grades they're selling. Teamworks owns/controls those. PFF just licenses them to keep selling them to you. ▪️Neither of these guys has graded a game or really fully understands the PFF grading system. Most of the people who do don't work there anymore. They don't have anyone left who can explain the grades publicly. "Triple negative" ? ▪️The biggest problem with the grades remains, imo, the translation to the 0-100 scale. It warps the raw grade to try to manipulate it onto a closed scale because some people believed that accessibility was more important than accuracy. Guess who pushed that. ▪️As a former PFF grader, I also disagree with the raw grade in this case, especially on the 2 biggest plays (The negated INT and the Kmet TD.) 'Fix' those 2 grades and you get a lot closer to consensus opinion.

Can’t fathom a team falling for the David Ross shtick in the big 2027 but we shall see

“I’ll answer the phone,” David Ross said just now on ESPN in answer to whether he’d be interested in the Mets (or any other managerial job). Ross, whose bench coach was Andy Green when he managed the Cubs, previously said as much to Dan Martin of @nypostsports

MLB Scoring Changes @ScoringChanges

I am so proud of Warren Schaeffer of the @Rockies for knowing this rule, especially in the world of the universal DH. The rule for the placed runner is that the last batter the previous inning is the placed runner at second. Well Schaeffer moved the lineup around and put the pitcher in Goodman's spot as the last batted out. BUT...Schaeffer knows the rule. If the PITCHER is in the spot of the last batted out, you have the option to skip the pitcher (who was in the 3-hole) and go back one batter, in this case to Connor Norby in the 2-hole. I think quite a few managers know this, although Don Mattingly really messed this up when he was the manager of the Marlins, be pinch running for the DH instead of inserting the pitcher and skipping the pitcher to run Jazz Chisholm, Jr. #Rockies

.@ScoringChanges Small quirk in the 11th inning of the Orioles/Rockies game. Hunter Goodman made the final out of the 10th. The Rockies lost their DH and brought in reliever Castano for Goodman in the 11th. Yet, Connor Norby was the ghost runner in the 11th, not Castano

Let’s be for real we’re complaining about the sanctity of the game while your manager makes a mid inning pitching change to put your 2nd baseman on the mound how are we not reading the room here

Lou Merloni wasn't a fan of Jazz Chisholm Jr. stealing second and third base uncontested in the eighth inning of a six-run game.

I’m actually doubling down here and saying this is the most pathetic thing I’ve ever heard come from a broadcast booth while crying over a correct call that happened hours ago while the team on the field has fully given up in a 7-1 game. You’re a disgrace @WillFlemming

PR apologies are so funny because what do you mean “meant no disrespect”??? The entire intent of what you said was disrespect? Just tell ChatGPT to delete that line before you post it dork

I meant no disrespect to the Yankees players or organization. I could and should have used different words. These rivalry games get me fired up; I apologize for letting the emotion of the moment get the best of me.

I think we can all agree that stepping out toward the baseline in the middle of a WNBA game, getting ejected on purpose, and immediately claiming to be a victim is insanely pathetic
