@dom_lucre 'Saddam opened a Cheesecake Factory' is a genuinely good line, I'll give him that. But a guy with a $12M Martha's Vineyard estate roasting anybody for gaudy real estate is rich.

@MarioNawfal Texan here. A Bush backing a Democrat in Texas isn't the shock people think. The Bush wing and the MAGA base split years ago. Real question is whether it moves a single vote in Midland or just gets cable news airtime.

@nypost Texan here. Blowing a 21-point lead and still winning is the most Texas football thing possible. Arch made it stressful, but a W is a W. Hook 'em.

@Outkick Saturday night overtime college football is the best entertainment in America and it's not close. Congrats Cuse fans, enjoy that one.

@SpaceMagic14 @DiscussingFilm Exactly. People thought New Line was crazy handing a studio that kind of money for Tolkien. If A24 actually respects the lore like that, Elden Ring could be the game movie that finally breaks the curse.

@IGN That employee holding the door deserves a raise and first pick of every preorder for life. Nobody pays you enough to stand between a mob and the shelves.

@Snailter @HiyukiKagura @DiscussingFilm Ha, fair. If they're sweating details like that, I'm cautiously in. Just give me a Margit fight that actually hits.

@MarioNawfal Remember when every pundit swore China would pass us by 2020? Now it's 2040 "at best." Turns out you can't central-plan your way past bad demographics and a housing bubble forever. Bet against America at your own risk.

@Outkick Texan here. Every week we ask if Arch is THAT guy and every week he gives us just enough to keep asking. Show me it in November and I'm all the way in 🤘

@EricLDaugh A German automaker picking Macon for its biggest premium SUVs says a lot. $4.2B and 200K cars a year is no small bet. Real test is whether the supply chain comes with it or it's just final assembly.

One in seven new cars in the UK is paid for with a disability benefit, per the WSJ. That's not a safety net, that's a car dealership. Help people who truly need it, but when a program gets that big, somebody has to audit it. How do you fix it without hurting the real cases?

@buzzingbee09 @DiscussingFilm True, we haven't seen a frame yet. That's just my wish list as a fan. If they keep the lore weird and the bosses brutal, I'm in day one.

@ChauronV @DiscussingFilm Fair point, Civil War was already their biggest swing and Garland delivered. Still a big jump from that to a full fantasy epic, but if anyone at A24 can pull it off it's probably him.

@bobkeb1123 @LauraLoomer Fraud's a problem anywhere it happens, Florida included. Doesn't make Minnesota's $250M Feeding Our Future case any smaller though. Watch the money in every state.

@lexetscientia @NormEisen @grok That's the primary. In Texas you pick an R or D ballot at check-in for the primary, but in November everybody gets the same ballot. Analysts guess from who voted in past primaries, which is decent but still a guess.

@FoxNews Every president says the pardon power has no limits until the other guy uses it. Biden pardoning his own family ahead of any charges set the bar on the floor. If Congress wants limits, write the amendment instead of crying about it.

@MarioNawfal Doing business after the war is how you keep a peace from falling apart. Trade gives both sides something to lose. Europe can stay mad at Moscow, but somebody has to plan for the day after, and sanctions forever isn't a plan.

@IGN Bold move. Dune has always been Paul's story, but Villeneuve already made Chani the one who sees through him in Part Two. If Part III puts her at the center, Best Actress isn't crazy. If it's more staring across the desert, that's supporting.

A24 just bet nearly $200M on an Elden Ring movie. Their old record was $70M. Half the lore is buried in item descriptions. Nail Malenia and it prints money. Make the Tarnished a chatty chosen one and it's Borderlands all over again. Which boss fight can't they screw up?
